Velvet Collar Adult Comic Issue #3: Performance Anxiety

Welcome back to Velvet Collar, Issue 3: Performance Anxiety.

One in five sex workers are men, but these five men intend to be number one in this adventure series.

Velvet Collar is an ongoing (adults only) series following the adventures of Abel Rey, Page, Billy, Daddy and Storm to protect what’s important to them and show readers the thoughts, feelings and experiences of men sex workers. New characters are introduced each series, based on real workers, allies and friends that participate in the project, to better show the range of men involved. While the characters may be an amalgamation for a fictional adventure, their personalities and thoughts are drawn from real life.

In issue 3, Performance Anxiety, the five main characters go on a cruise ship full of wild and colorful characters searching for answers on their journey.  Issue 3 will be a whopping 52 full color pages done by Byron Power.

During most of COVID-year-2020, the work was packed with extra juicy art and better storytelling. While other works about men sex workers also talk about our struggles, facing stigma, and the dangers that come with sex work, Velvet Collar chooses to remember and celebrate the joyful times of the work that inspire us to imagine safer, more just and more fulfilling experiences in the sex industry.
